We love Christmas time at our house. I have been listening to Christmas music since Halloween. I know some people hate when you start listening to Christmas music before Christmas, but why?Christmas music puts me in the happiest mood. It makes me cheery, and excited for the season to come. I start to think more about others, and about family and the memories we make every year. I know we should give always but at this time it seems easier to give. I love the warm fire, and cuddling up in a blanket with some hot cocoa. I love getting all bundled up to go outside. I love thinking about Christ and all he has done for us. I love the spirit of Christmas. I love getting together with family and forming a closer bond with the ones we love. I LOVE DECORATING for Christmas, the lights, wreaths, mangers, snow flakes and everything red and green. I love the snow blanketing everything white. I love making things for others. There are so many things I want to make this year for Christmas but I know I can not get it all done so I won't do it all and I will save some of the things for years to come. I love the traditions our families have.
One of my favorite things we use to do on Christmas Eve was drive around town looking at everyone's Christmas lights. When I was younger I think they were just magical to me. We then would come home and my dad would read us the story of Christ's birth and he would use a manger scene that he made himself out of wood. My parents would then give each of us a present to open and it was always an ornament. They use to give us pj's until we got older. I have liked this tradition because now I have those ornaments for my own tree :) We love this time of year and the joy it brings to us everyday. We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and remembers Christ, after all he is the reason we have it in the first place.
